Fenerbahce, who lost 2-0 to Gençlerbirligi at the weekend, are injury free – with Moussa Sow, Dirk Kuyt and Pierre Webo in contention in attack – but missing left winger Caner Erkin due to suspension.
Benfica are without captain Luisao as the Brazilian defender has a thigh strain. In midfield, Enzo Perez and Andre Almeida are out, but centre-half Ezequiel Garay is fit despite picking up an injury in the weekend win over Sporting.
Aykut Kocaman: “This game will be a new chapter in our history. After beating Plzen to reach the quarter-finals I said there was little to choose between the last eight – it is the same now. It will come down to the teams that force the issue, force differences between them and their opponents. Benfica are one step ahead of us when you look at their experience and recent success. We should be aggressive but retain our balance across the pitch – the supporters have to be patient too. We must not concede.”
Jorge Jesus: “Most problems will probably come from their agile front players. We know that this match will not decide anything but it can help us. Usually Benfica score away and, despite the atmosphere tomorrow, I believe that we will score again. There are no favourites – both teams have their strengths and it will be an even tie.”
