Return of the WAG – Sylvie van der Vaart to Give Rafael another shot
Good news all around as Sylvie van der Vaart announced that she is willing to give Rafael van der Vaart a second chance.
The couple announced they’d split after the football ace hit his wife during a furious bust-up at a New Year’s Eve party.
However, model Sylvie has revealed: “We want to give it another try.”
Speaking to German mag Gala, she added: “I am so happy. I still love him so much.”
It’s claimed Rafa will be keeping his newly-purchased bachelor pad, presumably to give the couple some breathing space as they ease themselves back into married life.
Two weeks ago, Sylvie said their seven-year union was over after the former Spurs midfielder reportedly struck her in front of party guests.

The Dutchman was quick to apologise for his behaviour, branding himself “foolish” and an “idiot”.
He continued: “I’m very sorry. It should never have happened.”
Sylvie responded by saying she’d forgiven her husband but confirmed their marriage was finished.
She said: “We have unfortunately drifted apart over time. It was a gradual process that was not easy to stop. Even though it sounds weird, we still love and respect each other.”
