Both Wenger and Ferguson have proven to be great managers who can handle a young and rising star player and bring them to greater height, Wenger with Henry, Vieira, Fabregas while Ferguson can boast of the likes of Beckham, Ronaldo and Rooney.
So it comes as no surprise that current wonder kid Wilfred Zaha has to weight his options carefully, in the end the club will dictate who they are willing to sell to for the right price but the player himself plays a significant role as well and with the news that Ferguson met with Zaha on Sunday with Crystal Palace blessing,it may come as no surprise if Zaha chooses Old Trafford over the Emirates.
And to makes things worst for Arsenal, Utd are said to be offering a £15m deal rising to £17m with add-ons.
United are confident this should be enough to land the newly-capped England international, who has also been the subject of strong interest from Arsenal.
The Championship club have used Arsenal’s interest to drive the price way beyond the £10m mark and the final fee is likely to go far beyond what the Gunners paid to beat United to the signings of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in 2011 and Theo Walcott in 2006.
United are increasingly confident that Zaha will be confirmed as a United player by the end of the week.
