Lavishing at the foot of the table, five points off Aston Villa in 18th place, can Harry Redknapp work his magic wand and keep Queens Park Rangers in The Premiership?
This is arguably Harry’s most difficult job. However in QPR’s large squad there is some quality players and it’s up to Redknapp to get the best out of them. This is the starting 11 he may look to play to keep them in the division.
Goalkeeper: Julio Cesar– has had his up’s and downs this year but is capable of match winning saves and is a superior keeper to alternative Rob Green.
Right Back: Nedum Onuoha– Won’t contribute much going forward but has the pace and power to be a strong player and could bring much needed solidity to the defence.
Centre back: Stephane Mbia– Despite playing a lot in midfield, he is quite capable in defence. One of the few leaders that the Hoops have and will need his experience at the back.
Centre back: New signing– QPR need a new central defender and Redknapp will have to act in the market. Neither Anton Ferdinand or Clint Hill are good enough at this level and Tal Ben Haim, despite being a good reader of the game does not have the legs to play at the highest level. If they could some how tempt Michael Dawson of Spurs to join then he could make a significant impact.
Left back: Fabio- When Sir Alex Ferguson let this young Brazilian leave out on loan it was because he saw him as a big talent for the future and wants him back at Old Trafford next season. Fabio has not been able to settle into this QPR side but now is the time for Harry to give him a run and let him show his undoubted talents.
Right Midfield: Junior Hoilett– Currently out injured but expected to be back soon. Hoilett almost kept Blackburn up single handedly last year. He has the pace and dribbling skills to be a real outlet for QPR and if he can get a run of games under his belt could prove the difference come the end of the season.
Centre Midfield: New Signing ( Yann M’vila)– With the move not yet completed it seemed a bit premature to put him in however you can see why QPR are looking at this sort of player. Strong and defensively minded as well as being able to elegantly pass the ball M’vila would be the perfect player to add steal to the midfield.
Centre Midfield: Esteban Granero– The former Real Madrid man is another who has not had the best start to English football. However Redknapp loves a technically gifted footballer and Granero’s passing, first touch and intelligence could provide the key to unlocking defences. Alongside a holding midfielder like M’vila could give Granero more freedom.
Left Midfield: Park Ji Sung- The Korean international needs to step up to the challenge of keeping Rangers up. Park has never been the most creative player but always been known to put a shift in and with more technical players around him, Rangers will need Park to show the energy and persistence especially when they do not have the ball.
Centre Attacking Midfielder: Adel Taarabt– Arguably QPR’s best player Taarabt has been one of very few who can hold his head high this season. Redknapp will now need his influential playmaker to carry on trying to pull the strings and create chances for those around him, as well as scoring a few himself.
Striker: Loic Remy– QPR have beaten Newcastle in the race for this French International and what a signing it could turn out to be. Has the pace, finishing ability and also at 6ft 2 can be a threat in the air. QPR have struggled for goals this campaign but with Remy they now have a genuine threat, which could prove vital at the end of the season.
