Arsenal Eyeing Zenit Midfielder Igor Denisov
Interesting transfer news are out claiming that Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Igor Denisov is a target for Arsenal.
The Daily Star Sunday reported that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could use fellow Russian Andrey Arshavin, 31, as part of any deal.
Russia skipper Denisov, 28 went on strike as he felt the club were being disrespectful to the players who helped to retain the title.
Zenit paid £80.2million for Brazil striker Hulk, 26, and Belgian midfielder Axel Witsel, 23, during the summer.
Denisov refused to train in protest at not being paid the same as Hulk’s £4.8m annual salary but has now apologised.
