Lukas Podolski believed he has grown up since his days at Bayern Munich.
The German international striker is set to leave FC Cologne for Arsenal in the summer and is determined to succeed at another big club after finding life difficult at the Allianz Arena.
The 26-year old said: “When I went to Munich I was perhaps a little too young,”.
“Now I’m more experienced and more mature, I believe in myself more and I’m sure things will work out for me over there.
“When I received the offer I quickly realised it was the right path to take.
“Arsenal are a huge football club and the objective must be to win titles in the coming years.
“Arsenal are undoubtedly a huge name in football with a great coach and a fabulous stadium.”
