It has been revealed that Barcelona are ready to hand skipper Carles Puyol a new contract.
The experienced defender, who has just turned 34, is tied to Barca until 2013.
There’s no concern at Barca over the situation, though president Sandro Rosell has made it clear to Puyol that he wants him to retire at the Nou Camp.
