Everton To Battle Arsenal For Marouane Chamakh
Premier League club Everton is ready to battle it out with Arsenal in a summer scramble for Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh.
It is believed that Toffees boss David Moyes sent scouts to watch the Moroccan marksman play against Lorient on Saturday.
It is also believed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been keeping tabs on the player for months and it is said that both bosses would dearly love to sign him in next month’s transfer window.
However, it looks as though they will have to wait after the £7million star vowed to see out the remaining six months of his contract before leaving on a free transfer.
Chamakh told reporters that he is certain to finish the season with Bordeaux and that he will be free at the end of the season.
However the player said that he does not want to see his name bandied around in January.
It has also been revealed that Italian giants Juventus have also been keeping tabs on Chamakh.
