Woodgate Admits No Chance Of Breaking Into England World Cup Squad
Tottenham defender Jonathan Woodgate has admitted that he has no chance of making the England squad for next year’s World Cup.
The 29-year old central defender has struggled with injuries at the beginning of this season, managing just three matches so far, and knows that he will probably not get the chance to represent his country in South Africa in 2010.
However Woodgate said that he is happy to be back to full fitness and hopes that he can remain that way so that he does not have to sit on the sidelines again.
The former Real Madrid defender admitted that he had a few problems after the operation as it was a bit complicated.
He added that he hopes it is all behind him now and he will just have to keep working hard.
