Should Guss Hiddink Take Over the French Team?
Two shocking things happened today in the World Cup 2010 Play-offs, Slovenia qualified after a 1-0 win over Hiddink’s Russia while Thierry Henry decided to be the next “hand of god” player by handling the ball and assisting Gallas for France’s equalizing goal that sent the unlucky Irish out.
France should have never been in this situation in the first place with the quality at their disposal they should have qualified long time ago, i personally think their main problem is their coach Raymond Domenech.
How do you leave Karim Benzema on the bench for both play-off games is beyond me, and it’s not as if Gignac was playing well and deserved his place.
I propose that the French team sack Domenech and appoint Hiddink to lead them in the World Cup itself, he has experience and tactical skills and Russia’s heartache could be France’s gain.
What do you think?
