Real Madrid Captain Raul Considering Shock Retirement
Real Madrid captain Raul has revealed that he is considering shock retirement at the end of this season.
Local Spanish media has reported that Raul has all but accepted his diminished status at Real Madrid and is aware of talks between president Florentino Perez and Iker Casillas over a new leadership role for the goalkeeper.
Raul is no longer a first-choice at Real Madrid and at age 33 is now seriously considering retirement.
However it is believed that the striker does not want to leave the club and instead could begin work with general manager Jorge Valdano next season as an assistant.
