Lyon 1-0 Fiorentina (Champion League) – Video

A late goal by Miralem Pjanic helped Olympique Lyon beat 10-man Fiorentina 1-0 in their opening Champions League Group E match Wednesday.

Fiorentina were always up against it after striker Alberto Gilardino was sent off on the stroke of halftime for elbowing midfielder Jeremy Toulalan.

Lyon, though, could not break through until the 76th minute when Bosnia midfielder Pjanic struck from close range.
