Manchester City Determined To Sign John Terry From Chelsea
Cash rich Manchester City have continued their pursuit of Chelsea captain John Terry, with manager Mark Hughes stating that the move will “reignite” the defender’s career.
It is believed that Chelsea have already rejected a £30 million bid for the talented defender and has stated that he is not for sale but i looks like Manchester City has not been put off by the statement.
Hughes said that he that City would offer him a different challenge and added that when a player have been with a club a long time, he maybe get to a point when he needs a new challenge. Hughes also added that a change of scenery would just reignite certain things within a player.
Hughes also stressed that it is not a question of money but about a different challenge, a different stage Terry’s life and career, and maybe that’s why there hasn’t been a response because John is seriously thinking in those terms.
The manager also added that he went through that process himself and that he can understand if that is the way Terry is thinking.
Hughes also finished by saying that John Terry is an outstanding player and an outstanding person. He also said that he would like the opportunity to speak to Terry but that hasn’t been forthcoming.
It is now believed that Hughes will concentrate on the first stages of preparations for the new season when City head out to South Africa for a three-match tour.
