Aston Villa leading chase to sign Eidur Gudjohnsen of FC Barcelona

Sensational transfer news are out and it has been reported that English Premier League side Aston Villa are regarded as favourites to sign Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.

It has also been reported that a host of Premiership clubs are keen to bring the former Chelsea forward back to England this summer and Aston Villa is believed to be leading the chase.

Local newspapers have also reported that Villa are showing the strongest interest and believe an offer around the region of £3 million will be enough to land the Iceland international.
